OUR COMMITMENT TO A FASHION FREE FROM HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS

The industrial culture of Mabo spa is centered on streamlining and innovation of industrial processes to meet the demands for quality and creativity of the customers and consumers. The challenge which we are engaged is the integration of the values of sustainability in the future of Mabo spa.

This is why we decided to become a DETOX Leader, committed to the standards defined by the Greenpeace Detox campaign in the elimination of all hazardous substance.

Mabo spa has publicly agreed on March 16, 2016 to the DETOX commitment and moral responsibility with its customers and to their consumers.

Pursuant to the commitment Detox Mabo spa has already eliminated 8 classes of hazardous chemicals as defined in our new M-RSL (in force since November 15, 2018) and is already well advanced in achieving the 2020 target of elimination of three additional groups.

In the section of our site we will give public account of our progress.

Mabo spa is also committed to the careful monitoring of hazardous substances by periodic chemical analyzes; any possible and unexpected deviation from this commitment sees Mabo activate the need to take corrective action. We have from the beginning extended controls and analysis to all 11 groups of priority chemicals included in our M - RSL and envisaged by DETOX standards. Our products and processes are free from:

In July 2018, we started an internal investigation to determine the origin of contaminations that placed levels above the test thresholds. Specifically, we will analyze the presence of methylene chloride in Romania, chlorobenzene in Romania and at Mabo, and, despite being substances for phaseout by 2020, the presence of chromium, lead, and mercury at Zama Italia and Romania, chrome and lead at Mabo, and aniline at Zama Italia.
